Lisa M. Geoghegan focuses her practice on probate and family law, including divorce, pre-marital agreements, child custody, paternity, adoptions, child removal, guardianships, and administration and probate of estates. Just prior to joining Barron & Stadfeld, Ms. Geoghegan was an associate with a North Shore law firm, where she focused on family law matters both in and out of court. She also served as a judicial law clerk for the Massachusetts Probate and Family Court in Middlesex, Bristol, Suffolk and Plymouth Counties for two years. She assisted justices with domestic relations, probate and equity matters, conducted legal research, and drafted findings of fact, conclusions of law, rationales, judgments, decrees and orders.

Lisa Geoghegan graduated from Amherst College with a bachelor of arts in classics, magna cum laude and with distinction, in 2004. She graduated from Northeastern University School of Law in 2007. While in law school, Ms. Geoghegan worked as a legal intern with the Consumer Protection Division of the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office and with Federal District Court Magistrate Judge Robert B. Collings, as well as with two Boston-area law firms. In addition, she volunteered with Shelter Legal Services and served as an advocate for victims of abuse through her law school’s Domestic Violence Clinic.
