Renée Hawk concentrates her practice in family law, which includes divorce, separation, negotiation and drafting of pre-marital and post-marital agreements, division of marital assets and personal property, alimony, child custody, child support, paternity, adoption, restraining orders, domestic abuse, contempt matters, modification of judgments, and complaints for removal of children from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Ms. Hawk works closely with her clients, guiding them through the various stages of sensitive and challenging family law issues. Often, anxieties about issues pertaining to children and finances can seem overwhelming. Ms. Hawk recognizes the importance of providing her clients with as much information as possible to help them make informed decisions, including the necessity of having a comprehensive understanding of the legal process. Working closely with her clients, she makes it her goal to arrive at a solution that is right for the client and his or her family.

- Represents parents in child custody matters where significant mental health issues render the other parent incapable of providing a safe environment for the children or sharing legal custody;
- Successfully uncovered hidden assets in numerous complex divorce cases, including assets hidden in foreign countries and off-shore accounts;
- Representation of custodial parent in successful termination of parental rights of unfit non-custodial parent, including a lump sum financial settlement for support of the child;
- Successfully represented custodial parent in removal of a minor child from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to another country that is not part of the Hague Convention, despite non-custodial parent’s objection;
- Represents parents in cases involving Department of Children and Families (DCF, f/k/a Department of Social Services) matters involving abuse and neglect of children.
